TRICK OR TREAT

Halloween brought out kids and adults alike from across Avery County for community events to collect candy and spooks in equal measure. Indoor trunk-or-treats saved the day from the foul weather that came along on Oct. 31. Pictured are Doug and Matthew Owen as the black knight and King Arthur at Banner Elk’s Trunk-or-Treat at Banner Elk Elementary School. See inside this week’s edition for pages of photos of Halloween trick-or-treating and related activities.
