RALEIGH — The Senate Republican Caucus voted to re-elect Sen. Ralph Hise (R-Mitchell) as Senate Deputy President Pro Tempore.
Sen. Hise said, “I’m grateful to be re-elected to another term as Deputy President Pro Tempore. Our conservative agenda has done wonders for North Carolina and I’m thrilled to be in a position to advance it even further.”
Senate Leader Phil Berger (R-Rockingham) said, “Sen. Hise is a strong leader and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Senate. From his problem-solving skills to his leadership, Sen. Hise will continue to add value to our efforts in the Senate.”
Sen. Hise was recently re-elected to a seventh term in the Senate representing Mitchell, Alleghany, Ashe, Avery, Caldwell, Haywood, Madison, Watauga, and Yancey counties.
