HCCF presents grant to OASIS, Inc.

High Country Charitable Foundation is pleased to announce a 2021 grant to OASIS, Inc. The vision of the foundation is to provide for the needy Avery County residents and animals. OASIS will use this grant to support clients, by addressing housing insecurity including utilities, rent and security needs to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and human trafficking in Avery County. “This generous funding will allow OASIS to serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence in Avery County, meeting their individual needs,” OASIS spokesperson Sara Crouch said. “Our goal is to ensure that survivors and their children can remain safe and stable in their own homes, or to secure housing away from their abuser. Community support like this helps OASIS to flexibly meet immediate needs. We are so grateful that the High Country Charitable Foundation prioritizes supporting survivors and the important work that OASIS does in Avery County.” Pictured is Barry Blake (left) representing High Country Charitable Foundation presenting the 2021 OASIS grant to Crouch in front of the Newland OASIS office.
