Caregiver's Haven has spaces available

Caregiver’s Haven, a program of Avery County Senior Services, decorated for last week’s luau party. The program is summarized as “A specialized adult day program of the Avery Senior Center for persons with memory loss from Alzheimer’s Disease or a related disorder. Caregiver’s Haven is a small-group program in a comfortable, homelike setting where participants enjoy friendship and meaningful activities. Caregivers get time out for personal needs, etc. The program is therapeutic for participants and helps families keep their loved ones at home.” There are currently four spaces available in the program, and those interested can call Avery Senior Services at (828) 733-8220.
