The Avery County community pool opened for its second season on Friday, June 12. As per Phase 2 guidelines, the pool, known as ‘The Dive-In,’ is operating at a limited capacity of no more than 50 people. To use the facility, visitors must make a reservation in advance for either time slot between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 2 to 5 p.m. Nightly pool parties are also available for registration from 6 to 8 p.m. Staff have implemented health and safety precautions such as checking temperatures at the door and wearing personal protective equipment. Visitors are expected to adhere to social distancing guidelines, and those who wish to enjoy the facility must sign a waiver upon entering.
