KIwanis presents PPE to Banner Elk Elementary

Doug Owen of the Kiwanis Club of Banner Elk presented a check for $2,000 to Banner Elk Elementary School, along with teacher supplies and personal protective equipment to help the educators who are on the front line in the fight against COVID-19. “As the new president of the Banner Elk Kiwanis, I knew that we do not have any funds to give out to teachers for classroom projects this year. So I decided to reach out for help from local businesses as well as individuals who wanted to help with the need,” Owen said.
