Avery High School returning to in-class instruction five days a week

At the recommendation of Gov. Roy Cooper and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the Avery County School System has made the decision to return high school students and staff to in-class instruction five days a week beginning on Monday, April 12. Safety protocols such as face coverings, washing hands regularly and maintaining social distance will remain in place. Meanwhile, buildings will continue to be disinfected two or more times per week.
