Engage Program Instructor Correctional Program Teaches adult education class within a local correctional facility for older adults who are building skills for eventual release. Instructor must have good interpersonal and communication skills in dealing with students, college personnel, community partners, and members of the general public. Instructor is responsible for providing instruction in order to assist students with reaching their goals of improving skills, gaining independence, and transitioning to employment and/or further education. Skills being taught include money management, reading, community resources, and current events. (Instructors working in the prison programs will perform normal duties associated with the education of inmate students, not correctional officer duties.) This position is 20-25 hours per week, co-teaching with another instructor to deliver course content. Minimum Qualifications: Must have high school diploma and verifiable teaching experience; NC Adult Education state certification is preferred.
