Mountain Glen Women’s Golf Association
The Mountain Glen Ladies golfers hit the course for a Fairways and Greens Competition on July 2. The game is based on a scoring system that is based on hitting fairways and greens, where players earned five points for hitting a fairway on par 4s and 5s or a green on a par 3. From that, they subtract the number of putts made on that hole.
In the nine-hole competition, Nancy Anderson captured the top spot as she carded a 21 in the competition, while Claudia Campbell tallied a 16 to finish in second. Maureen Walker finished third with a score of 15.
Elaine Strickland rounded out the top four with a 13.
In the 18-hole pairings, Beth Hill won Flight A with a 52, while Paula Grim finished in second place with a score of 42.
Martha Solon captured Flight B with a round of 39. Willia Dean was second in the flight as she carded a 35.
