Banner Elk Chamber Annual Dinner
Banner Elk Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual dinner on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Stone Walls Restaurant. Once the crowd of businessmen and women were served, BECC President Richard McGuire spoke to the group to introduce the BECC board and officers for 2012.
Carroll Hickman will serve as vice president, Randall Ray of Erick’s Cheese and Wine Shop will work as treasurer, Sharon Meyer of A and W Mountain Rentals and Appalachian Termite and Pest Control will fill the role of secretary and Patty Robinson of Patty’s Billing Services, Inc., will serve as recording secretary. John Heinlein will represent BECC as member at large.
The board itself will include Cindy Broussard of Banner Elk Cafe and Lodge, Ken Buchanan of Lees-McRae College, Fred France of Fred France and Associates, Jack Masters as an individual member, Jo-Ann McMurray as an individual member, Andy Meyer of Appalachian Termite and Pest Control Inc., Banner Elk Town Manager Rick Owen, Holly Palm of Palm Products, Deka Tate as an individual member and Frank Watts as an individual member.
